Royal Blood

So this post was going to be my third London post, but the photos didn't turn out quite as well as I'd of wanted them (I'm such a perfectionist)

So this post is a outfit post but a bit of a catch up too, I'll start off on a slightly* negative note just to get it out the way; I have been putting off posting for a while because I wanted to avoid being overly pessimistic but University is a scary place, for me anyway.

Don't get me wrong there are probably millions of bloggers all over the world blogging about their first week back at uni, how much fun they are having, people they've met, things they've learnt and that's not to say I haven't done the same! But it has been hard on me, and at times I have felt lonely and confused I mean this is the next 3 years of my life! Which I think has probably been the main reason it's felt daunting, it's scary for me to admit this to my readers too. I like to think I'm a strong person and the more comfortable I've been getting with uni this week I can see hope that it'll work and things will slot into place but I wanted to talk about this because I hate to sugar coat things, things can be different for different people and that's okay! Its okay to feel different and feel lonely or confused. University is a MASSIVE part of some peoples lives and for a moment it can be like 'Woah, what am I doing here?!' but if you enjoy what it is you do and you want to achieve what it is from university then it will work out, I promise.
I think I got a upper hand at University anyway by doing the foundation, which would make you think I'd settle in better but it feels like a completely different ball game.
I guess this is sort of a reassurance for me as it is for anyone else reading this, not only that but I want my blog as a reflective place so I can look back on this when I've left Uni and I will probably laugh, I hope.

Anyway.. I shall lift the mood. It's autumn! Which I think I'm actually excited for? Although I think I write this post every year then say a few months/weeks later how its too cold and I wish summer was back but hey. I love the autumn because of the colours and the layering.
This dress I love because of it's colour, I have found myself buying quite a bit of it recently.
Also it's a smock so its 100% a go to dress for me.

Anyway that is all from me, I thought I'd leave it with a little funny story that happened to me last week. We went on a trip in Fashion to a village where there was lots of designer outlets, if you follow me on instagram you probably already know this story but I tried on this beautiful but massively expensive dress and I mean expensive (it had a few 000's) put it that way. I told the woman I was wearing it to a family 'get-together' I mean how bad of a lie is that, why an earth would you wear a dress like that to that sort of occasion, terrible!
In all it was very fun though.
(And yes the title does relate to the band I'm obsessed with at the moment, I also felt it worked well with the colours in the post)

Until next time take care!

Dress: Primark, Jacket: H&M, Shoes: Chicwish

What's your opinion?

  1. I dunno, I feel like the first week back at school can be tough. Definitely an adjustment and I feel like it's more of a rarity to feel the other way around. Don't put too much weight on it. I hated my college when I first got there and ended up loving it. No regrets!

  2. Oh sweetheart I hope uni picks up for you. It's such a big change to your life, but I'm sure everything will work out fine.

Love this outfit as always :) x

  3. Loving that dress and jacket looks so gorgeous on you! would love it if you could follow my blog and leave a comment beaut!
