London Fashion Week A/W 2014 and The Brits 2014

Just a little late on this one but I had to do a post on London Fashion Week and The Brit awards which were two of my personal highlights from the past couple of weeks. So starting off with LFW I always try and keep up with it throughout the week: the shows, the designers, celebrities and my personal favourite street style.
I thought I'd do similar as I did to LFW S/S for this and pick out my favourite collections/pieces.

So starting off with Mulberry I was absolutely in love with this show with the obvious reasons of it including Cara Delevingne with her own collection, the beautiful floaty dress she wore and the set was just stunning. Personally though I wasn't that impressed by the bags, don't get me wrong they are all unique in their own way but not something I would particularly buy (not to mention the price obviously) I think since Alexa realised her bag for Mulberry it'll take me a while to be blown away by another one.
My favourite out of them though is the little bag worn on her back below that is definitely a bag i need in my life is it not the cutest?!

John Rocha's collection was just beautiful structural pieces, almost a work of art in themselves. My personal favourite was the dress in the middle embellished with flowers it looks almost woodland fairytale with a touch of grunge, just spot on!

I loved this show because the models were just effortless beauties, the pieces they came down the catwalk in were just worn beautifully; the way they flowed and moved just made me think of spring *sigh* they were also layered perfectly I must add! Cara again featured in this show along with Suki Waterhouse and Jordan Dunn.

I think out of the whole of LFW Temperley London had to be my favourite every time they never fail to blow me away. Alice said she tried to move in a different direction with her collection which certainly didn't let us down. I literally cant write this without my mind just going 'gahhhh this collection is ugh stunning and beautiful and everything in between'

Finally my favourite designer Henry Holland pulled another amazing collection out the bag, which to me just screamed PAR-TAY! The green dress below is so gorgeous! The dark colours and sparkly sequins just worked so well together. I think he always has this tendency to really push the boundaries in terms of styling mixing loud pieces together to create this amazing outfit.

Leading me on perfectly from London Fashion Week brings me to The Brits I get excited about this every year even though I usually end up screaming at the tv/ throwing the remote ect ect (i'm joking I only did that when Adele won last year) this year I was actually pleasantly surprised by most of the winners. I did scream though when Lily Allen walked on stage wearing Henry Holland how bloody beautiful did she look?!

She presented the award to Arctic Monkeys I believe who were looking incredibly dapper I have to say. I loved Matts suit I'm a bit of sucker for checks.
I know that they were quite controversial on the night and got a lot crap for the speech they did but there's no denying they are SUCH a good band and I'll stick up for them on this one because i tell you what they deserved that Best Album award hands down!

I also LOVED the performance from Disclosure featuring Lorde and Aluna Francis two girls I love and admire especially Lorde who for me deserved her award without a doubt. Look how hot Aluna looks though if only I could pull off a pink like that!

Of the whole night though Fearne Cotton had the best outfit/best hair everything. I absolutely adore the holographic trend I've seen around a lot lately and this dress is just gahh. I have such a crush on her hair at the moment too the urge to get mine cut short is coming around again!

And finally my girls Haim looked absolutely gorgeous! But don't they all the time?! Upsetting they didn't win an award which I felt they deserved, but hey they were there and still as lovely as ever!

Anyway so thats all from me,  I'm holding off doing a outfit post for a while until I get my hair cut it looks awful at the moment and I'm planning on getting it dip- dyed when I do though I have a outfit planned along with a few exciting posts lined up!

Until next time though take care pretties!
